Dear Far Hills Residents:

I am writing to inform you that the Borough has authorized several projects for improvements to Lake Road. Commencing on November 15, 2023, Schifano Construction will begin the milling of the section of Lake Road spanning from Hidden Valley Road to the beginning of the lake by the dam. On November 20, 2023, the paving of this section will commence, and it is anticipated that these improvements will be completed on the same day, weather dependent.

Additionally, the Borough was recently awarded a grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation for infrastructure improvements to the section of Lake Road spanning from Route 202 to the intersection of Hidden Valley Road. It is anticipated that this work will commence within the next two years.

The recent completion of the drainage project on section 1 of Pennbrook Road has successfully improved both the infrastructure and drivability of this roadway as well as the waterflow impact on Lake Road. The project for section 2 of Pennbrook Road is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2024.

We understand that roadwork can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience during this time. However, these improvements are crucial for maintaining the safety and functionality of our infrastructure.

As a borough, we are committed to investing in our roads and infrastructure, and these projects are an important step towards achieving that goal. We believe that the benefits of these improvements will be felt by all residents for years to come.
