Due to the on-going COVID-19 disruption, the State of New Jersey has delayed the adoption of their budget. Therefore, the Somerset County Board of Taxation may not be able to certify the tax rate allowing the tax bills to be mailed on a timely basis. As a result, the State of New Jersey has recommended that municipalities issue estimated property tax bills.

Estimated tax bills for the 3rd quarter will be mailed to all property owners on June 30, 2020. Payments will be due on August 1, 2020 with the standard ten-day grace period of August 10, 2020. Payments received after August 10, 2020 will incur interest charges retroactive to August 1, 2020. Once the final tax rate is certified by the Somerset County Board of Taxation, a Final 2020/Preliminary 2021 tax bill will be mailed in September 2020 for the November 1, 2020 February 1, 2021 and May 1, 2021 quarters.

The Municipal Building is currenty closed to the public until further notice.

Property owners may submit Tax Payments as follows:

  • Mail payments to Borough of Far Hills, 6 Prospect Street, Far Hills, NJ 07931
  • Drop off payments in the secure Payment Box which is located adjacent to the main entrance to the Borough of Far Hills Municipal Building at 6 Prospect Street.
